Stephen Farnan returned to Ireland in 2002 to set up his pottery after working and studying in the UK and USA. Stephen studied at the Art College, Belfast and the Royal College of Art, London.

He describes his pots as being, easy going, playful, quirky and importantly far removed from the traditional or as he would put it boring sponge pots that have come to epitomize Irish pottery over the last few decades. This is something that he feels is changing with the emergence of the new breed of individual makers peppered throughout Ireland, and importantly a new more thoughtful customer!

Stephen is also one of the backroom staff of Arts and Crafts of Ireland. We hope that with his knowledge, experience and contacts, combined with Daithi's (business partner) undoubted skill in developing top notch websites, to create Irelands number one web sales facility and forum for Irish Artists and Craftspeople - catering for a worldwide audience.
