The Mourne Mountains from Newcastle, was drawn in the winter of 2004. Slieve Donard, the Mourne champion, is the highest mountain in Northern Ireland and towers over Newcastle, a quaint seaside town on the County Down coast. Famed is for its rolling cushioned granite, stonewalls, the incredibly peaceful Spelga Dam the Mourne mountains are apparently also home to many hidden pots of gold! And as seen in the drawing and as the world famous song suggests the Mountains of Mourne really do sweep down to the sea. Dimensions 42cmx32cm
